There was some damage to my car and I got it repaired. I claimed the expenses. But insurance company is not paying the money. Why?
The first thing you need to do before making a claim is reporting the accident or damage that your car has suffered. Following this the insurer will have your car inspected and will come up with an estimate of the damages, which may or may not be enough to pay for the repairs.
Unless you report the claim to the insurer before making repairs, or at the very least provide photos of the damage, there’s slim chance that your insurance company will cover your expenses. After all, once you’ve made the repairs, there’s no real way they can tell what damage was caused to your vehicle.
