What documents are required for home loan?

Even though the documents might vary from one lender to another, here are the common ones.

Signed application, photographs affixed

Identity Proof: Passport/ Voter ID / PAN Card

Residence Proof: Passport/ Voter ID/ Driving License/ Water Bill/ Electricity Bill/ Lease agreement

Income Proof:

Salaried individuals - Latest Salary Slips (3 months)/ Current Salary Certificate

Self-employed persons - Latest bank Statements (3 - 6 months)/ Audited financial statements

Tax Proof:

Salaried individuals - Latest Form 16

Self-employed persons - Latest ITR Form

Employment Proof:

Salaried individual - Employment certificate

Self-employed persons - Legal documents pertaining to establishment of the business/profession e.g. MOA/ Partnership Deed etc.

Property Documents

Processing Fee Cheque

Co-applicant’s (if any) documentation

Documents requirement for salaried case

  • KYC documents (Identity and Residence proof)

  • Income Proof – Last 3 months salary slip, last 6 months bank statements reflecting salary credits, the latest form 16

  • Property related documents

  • Other documents – Own contribution proof, Bank statements showing repayment of existing loans, Photograph and duly signed application form.

Documents requirement for self employed case

  • KYC documents (Identity and Residence proof)

  • Income Proof – ITR for 3 years along with financials and schedules (CA certified)

  • Property related documents

  • Other documents – Own contribution proof, Bank statements showing repayment of existing loans, Form 26AS, Business Profile, Photograph and duly signed application form.
