What is a T+2 transaction for shares?

From the payout date shares get listed in your demat account in two working days. This is known as T+2 transactions. Usually you will get shares in your demat account within 24 hours of you making a payout for buying of the securities.

Hi Aswani,

T+2 refers to the date of settlement of the security transactions. T stands for transaction date, or in other words, the date the transaction took place. The number 2 represents how many days after the transaction date the settlement, transfer of funds and ownership of the security takes place.
